Organisations and Opportunities

The South-East region contains a fantastic and extensive archaeological heritage, but also a substantial number of local societies, museums and community projects. Many of these provide opportunities for members of the public to get involved in excavations, plus other training and educational activities, including groups specifically aimed at young people (see Young Archaeologists’ Club).

This page provides links to the numerous archaeological societies and other institutions present in the region, as well as our national CBA and other significant national institutions involved in archaeological heritage.
